Introducing the "Flooter" - Beta testing opens soon!

The Flooter is a 3d Printed Kit that lets anyone, with any desk, add a floating shelf to their setup.

D.T.F - Down To Floot

The design of the floating shelf kit codenamed "Flooter" has been completed, and beta sign ups are going to be opening very, very soon. I know what you’re thinking. That is an awful name. I know.

This kit was designed so that anyone could add a floating shelf under their main monitor. All you need is any piece of wood, a screwdriver, and the Flooter kit comes with the rest. It's universal and fits any shelf type and any desk thickness from 1/4" to 2.5". Great for getting things off the desk, especially things like audio interfaces, Elgato Stream decks, or other things on your desk. This lets cables pass underneath the shelf, so less fuss with keyboard and mouse cables. Fun fact, my very first prototype of the floating shelf was all the way back in 2019.

I was very intentional with many parts of the design, and there are a lot of cool features that make this kit awesome [totally not bias]. I really wanted anyone to be able to set this up. After the beta, their will be a full breakdown of the how and why this kit was made.

Beta Testing

I'm looking for a handful of gamers, streamers, or just straight up nerds to test this out and provide feedback. Some beta testers will be hand picked based on their application, with the others will be randomly picked so there is a fair chance for everyone.

I can only afford to send out a limited number of beta kits to everyone, however I might introduce an early access kit you can buy for ones not selected for beta testing, or for people who don't want to wait. Still working on the logistics of that, but I’m thinking that anyone who purchases an early access kit of the Flooter will also get a coupon for a chunk off the price of the kit when it launches to the public. I would be restricting entry to the ‘early access’ kits to newsletter subscribers, so if you’re reading this, that’s you :)

Back to the closed beta. selected beta testers will get a full kit with all parts and instructions to use the product as it intends to be sold. You are only required to cover the cost of the shipping, which for US residents is normally $7-10 USD. For international, it could be anywhere from $20 to $40 USD. Shipping especially to UK, Australia, Canada, etc are insane. I just made a video on how it costs $36 to ship a 6”x4×4 box that weights 10oz. Crazy.

Beta testers will have a few weeks to test the product, and then your feedback will be required at the end. The good, the bad, pictures of the shelf in your setup, etc.

All the details on that beta program will be posted in the next newsletter. ETA 1 week-ish. Thank you for your time.
