15% off everything in the shop!

Good morning! I got some good news. Starting today, everything in the NackHabitat store is 15% off. Use code “MAKEITCHEAPER” on any of the kits!

This was actually sparked by Elgato’s absolutely nutty sale they have going on for Black Friday/Holidays. They have some awesome deals across the board, but this is one of the best! Right now you can get a prompter for $70 off, AND get a free cold shoe mount and keylight mini for $200. You can also add a Master mount L to that package for $234 USD.

Crazy good deal! So if you had been eyeing a prompter and/or a Nackback prompter kit, this deal will be going on through the rest of 2024. Reminder that while the collectors editions have a limited stock (8 left I think) the pro kits are print on demand and aren’t going away.

What’s next?

I’ve got a few different things that I’m working on at the moment! I usually like to print and test anything before I put the designs or products up for sale. Sometimes this is one month, other times it’s 3 months XD.

Flooter - Floating Desk Shelf Bracket Kit

If there is one thing I hate, it’s EVERYTHING being on the desktop. I have always been a fan of little shelves that could get some of the peripherals I use off the table top and into the air. Makes it feel less cluttered, and if I want to use the tabletop for something else, I can push my keyboard up and under to make room. Funny enough, I have actually been working on a type of floating shelf since 2019. Back then, I used my existing monitor mount pole and a security camera pole mounting kit to make my first version.

The general idea was to 3D print a pair of brackets that could be used with any piece of finished wood, creating a floating shelf over your table top. The brackets who also come with some spacers to compensate for different tabletop thickness or shelf thickness.

Here are a few videos from earlier this year that documented the process!

iPad Magnetic Vesa Mount Kit

I’m currently testing these to make sure they hold up during day-to-day use, but hope to be releasing them soon. The most recent one is the iPad magnet VESA mount. Looking around I was trying to find an inexpensive vesa mount for iPad that connected to the iPad via magnets. They are all close to $100 which I thought was insane. So I’ve been working on a mount that could be 3D printed or laser cut + 3D printed, so that is what is below! I designed it so you could use either a standard VESA arm, or convert from VESA to 1/4-20 for those smaller, cheaper boom arms.

Thank you!

Thank you very much for your time and checking out this newsletter article. If you are interested in beta testing one of these kits, I’ll be sending out notifications here, as well as posting on social media about them when it’s time. There will be a form you can fill out if you’d like to participate!
